Mr. Abhishek Kumar is a distinguished development sector professional with over 25 years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Governance, Project Management, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Public Relations, NGO Management, Strategic Partnerships, Resource Mobilization, Social Auditing, and Organizational Development.

During his professional journey, he has worked with leading organizations including CDF, A2Z Group, Samsung India, Honda Cars India, and LG Electronics India, while providing strategic guidance to numerous corporate and development initiatives.

He possesses extensive expertise in public and private sector management reforms, governance systems, public expenditure management, human resource development, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) at local, national, and international levels.

Mr. Kumar holds a graduate degree from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, a qualification in Human Resource Management from IIM Lucknow, and a Strategic Management certification from IIT Delhi. He has also earned an MBA in Economic Development and Social Change from LNMI, along with a Master of Social Work (MSW). In addition, he has specialized knowledge in NGO Management and Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), including trademarks, patents, and copyright, from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Kumar has worked directly or indirectly with more than 50 corporate organizations and over 200 NGOs. He has contributed to projects supported by the Government of India, various State Governments, UNDP, the World Bank, WHO, ILO, the United Nations, foreign embassies, and numerous national and international development agencies.

His professional expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including:

Mr. Kumar has successfully led and advised numerous high-impact CSR and development projects implemented by corporate organizations, government agencies, and civil society institutions across India.

A recognized thought leader in the development ecosystem, he has been invited as a Guest Lecturer at leading universities, colleges, and management institutions. He regularly serves as a speaker, mentor, panelist, and jury member at national development forums and CSR events. He also serves on the boards of several organizations as a Director, Advisor, and Mentor, supporting institutions and young professionals in strengthening development practices and organizational excellence.

His professional engagements have taken him to several countries, enabling him to exchange knowledge, build international partnerships, and gain valuable insights into global socio-economic development challenges and sustainable community development models.

Mr. Kumar is the Mentor of U-Turn4Nature, a green social enterprise dedicated to empowering Bottom-of-the-Pyramid (BoP) communities by promoting sustainable livelihoods through women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).

In addition, he serves as the Honorary Senior Advisor to the Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence, Government of India—the apex body responsible for policy formulation and welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen, veterans, and their dependents.

Through his leadership, strategic vision, and extensive cross-sector experience, Mr. Kumar continues to contribute significantly to building sustainable, inclusive, and socially impactful development models across India.

He has traveled to many countries for sharing and understanding the concern of the socio-economic development of the community.

He is the Mentor of U-Turn4Nature-green enterprising by the bottom of the pyramid community especially women of NRLM SHG.

He is also Senior Advisor (Honorary) of  Kendriya Sainik Board– is the apex body of the Govt of India, under the Ministry of Defense which formulates policies for the Resettlement and welfare of  Veterans (Ex-Armed Forces) and their dependents.
