Littlebox India Partners with DNR Foundation to Help Families Rebuild Their Lives After Devastating Floods in Assam

Stand with Assam: Together, We Can Help Families Rebuild Their Lives

Littlebox India  has partnered with the DNR Foundation to provide emergency relief and help thousands of flood-affected families in Assam rebuild their homes, restore their dignity, and begin life again after one of the state’s most devastating floods.

Assam Gave So Much. Now It’s Our Turn to Give Back.

The devastating floods in Assam have left thousands of families struggling to survive. Homes built over decades of hard work have been washed away, livelihoods have disappeared overnight, and countless people are living without the safety and security of a place they can call home.

For many families, this is more than the loss of property—it is the loss of memories, dignity, and hope.

How This Initiative Began

This relief initiative was inspired by Ms. Rituparna Sharma, an employee at Littlebox, whose deep concern for her home state motivated immediate action.

In an inspiring display of compassion, employees and vendor partners of Littlebox voluntarily contributed ₹1,43,613 from their own salaries to support flood-affected communities.

However, when our teams reached the affected villages, they witnessed devastation far beyond what photographs and news reports could convey. Entire communities had been displaced, and the scale of destruction made one thing clear—we could not remain silent spectators.

That moment transformed a small relief effort into a larger mission to help families rebuild their lives.

Between 25 July and today,  Littlebox teams have successfully completed six flood relief missions across multiple flood-affected villages in Assam.

Relief materials, essential supplies, and immediate humanitarian assistance have already reached hundreds of affected families. Yet the greatest challenge still lies ahead—helping families rebuild their homes once the floodwaters recede.

How Your Contribution Will Be Used

To ensure complete transparency and maximum impact:

  • 20% of all donations will support immediate flood relief, including food, hygiene kits, medicines, and emergency essentials.
  • 80% will be dedicated to repairing and rebuilding damaged homes, helping families return to safe and dignified living conditions.

Every donation is managed with accountability, ensuring that every rupee reaches those who need it most.

Every Contribution Creates Hope

You don’t need to make a large donation to create a meaningful impact.

Even ₹10 can make a difference.

Small contributions, when combined with thousands of others, become the foundation upon which families rebuild their homes and their futures.

As the saying goes:

“Drop by drop, an ocean is formed.”

Our Road Ahead

Our fundraising campaign will continue until 30 August.

Once floodwaters begin to recede and conditions become safe, DNR Foundation will immediately commence the next phase of the mission—repairing and rebuilding damaged homes for the most vulnerable families.

This is not just about restoring houses.

It is about restoring hope, security, and dignity.

Be Part of Assam’s Recovery

Your support today can help a family return home tomorrow.

If you are able, please donate generously.

If you are unable to contribute financially, you can still make a tremendous difference by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and professional networks. One share can inspire many more people to contribute.

Together, we can help Assam recover—one family, one home, and one act of kindness at a time.

About DNR Foundation

Development Network & Research (DNR) Foundation is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified national non-profit organization committed to sustainable community development across India. Since its inception, the Foundation has been working across disaster relief, rural livelihoods, education, health, environmental conservation, women empowerment, and community resilience.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, DNR Foundation, in association with Vedanta, implemented one of its largest humanitarian relief initiatives by distributing 10,000 freshly cooked meals every day for nearly two months to vulnerable communities in Dharavi, Mumbai—one of Asia’s largest and most densely populated slum settlements, which was among the worst-affected areas during the pandemic. A similar large-scale food relief programme was also implemented in Patna, Bihar, where 10,000 cooked meals were served daily for nearly two months, ensuring that thousands of migrant workers, daily wage earners, and economically vulnerable families had access to nutritious meals during the lockdown.

Building on this experience, DNR Foundation has successfully implemented relief and rehabilitation initiatives across multiple states, responding to floods, health emergencies, livelihood crises, and other humanitarian challenges with transparency, accountability, and community participation.

Today, the Foundation continues to work towards creating resilient communities by combining immediate humanitarian assistance with long-term, sustainable development solutions.

Together, we don’t just provide relief—we help communities rebuild lives with dignity.
