The Armed Forces Flag Day Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave was a unique initiative of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence to create awareness about the challenges faced by the veterans and family of martyred soldiers, and how the corporate sector can play an important part in their resettlement and rehabilitation. This was the first CSR Conclave organized with the support of DNR Foundation, FICCI, CII and ICICI bank. DNR Foundation is supporting Kendriya Sainik Board for last two years. Providing guidance for resource mobilization and welfare initiative.
Hon. Raksha Mantri Sri Rajnath Singh termed it as a sense of responsibility and pride on the part of the citizens of the country, including industry leaders to provide all-round assistance to veterans and the dependents of the martyred soldiers. He said, there is a great virtue in standing with these families in difficult times.
